Did You Hear? We’re Making History at the Brisbane Jazz Club! 🇬🇷

On Sunday 27 July, Girl From Greece will become the first Greek ensemble to take the stage at the iconic Brisbane Jazz Club—and we couldn’t be more thrilled (and a little emotional, too 😅).

This is more than a gig. It’s a love letter to our culture, our families, and the powerful Greek artists who shaped us.

It’s a Saloni Session—our signature show format inspired by the “good living room” in Greek homes where stories, songs, and connection are shared over food, laughter, and way too much coffee.

We’ll be serving reimagined Greek classics, lush harmonies, and jazz-fusion grooves with our phenomenal five-piece band—featuring bouzouki, piano accordion, double bass, guitar, and percussion. A full feast of sound, spirit, and story.

🌀 “The bouzouki might be new to the Jazz Club stage,” Mel says, “but its spirit fits right in.”

💙 “This show is our way of honouring the legendary Greek women of song,” Kat adds. “And it’s also about making space for everyone—Greek or not—to feel something familiar in the music.”

🎺 Even Brisbane Jazz Club Artistic Director Mal Wood shared his excitement:

“We’re proud to host Girl From Greece as the first Greek ensemble at the club. Their music brings something truly unique—a fusion of world-class jazz with the heart and soul of Greek culture.”

With just a handful of tickets left, this show is almost sold out—but we wanted to share this milestone moment with you, our community, because it’s yours too. You’ve helped us get here.

From the bottom of our bouzouki-loving hearts, thank you for being on the ride with us. We can’t wait to sing for you.

With gratitude,
Mel & Kat 💋🧿🎤
