Did You Hear? Weβre Making History at the Brisbane Jazz Club! π¬π·
On Sunday 27 July, Girl From Greece will become the first Greek ensemble to take the stage at the iconic Brisbane Jazz Clubβand we couldnβt be more thrilled (and a little emotional, too π ).
This is more than a gig. Itβs a love letter to our culture, our families, and the powerful Greek artists who shaped us.
Itβs a Saloni Sessionβour signature show format inspired by the βgood living roomβ in Greek homes where stories, songs, and connection are shared over food, laughter, and way too much coffee.
Weβll be serving reimagined Greek classics, lush harmonies, and jazz-fusion grooves with our phenomenal five-piece bandβfeaturing bouzouki, piano accordion, double bass, guitar, and percussion. A full feast of sound, spirit, and story.
π βThe bouzouki might be new to the Jazz Club stage,β Mel says, βbut its spirit fits right in.β
π βThis show is our way of honouring the legendary Greek women of song,β Kat adds. βAnd itβs also about making space for everyoneβGreek or notβto feel something familiar in the music.β
πΊ Even Brisbane Jazz Club Artistic Director Mal Wood shared his excitement:
βWeβre proud to host Girl From Greece as the first Greek ensemble at the club. Their music brings something truly uniqueβa fusion of world-class jazz with the heart and soul of Greek culture.β
With just a handful of tickets left, this show is almost sold outβbut we wanted to share this milestone moment with you, our community, because itβs yours too. Youβve helped us get here.
From the bottom of our bouzouki-loving hearts, thank you for being on the ride with us. We canβt wait to sing for you.
With gratitude,
Mel & Kat ππ§Ώπ€
